Starting a blog in 2023 is, let’s be honest, the behavior of a crank. I’ve been on that trajectory for a while, as my engagement with social media became more sporadic (and more irritable). I find I still miss the way writing forces me to organize the swirling mess of thoughts that characterizes the political moment and the way it requires honest engagement with the ideas of others.
There will be politics in this blog, of course, but also professional thoughts from the field where I managed to stumble into expertise (Federal cloud information security). I will make mistakes, but I’m determined to make them my own mistakes.
